Last night, the Wankhede Stadium witnessed an amazing inning from Kings XI Punjab’s KL Rahul who scored 94 off 60 balls against Mumbai Indians at the IPL 2018. Despite this, Kings XI Punjab heartbreakingly lost the match by 3 runs.  With this victory team, Mumbai Indians have kept their hopes alive for the playoffs as they are now placed on number 4 of the IPL 2018 Points Table.

KL Rahul was visibly dejected and his sadness could be seen even when he received the Orange Cap. However, once the game was over, Hardik Pandya displayed great sportsmen spirit and as a goodwill gesture exchanged his jersey with KL. The video of the heartwarming gesture was shared by the official page of the IPL. The caption rightly read, “The BeauT of the #VIVOIPL @rahulkl@hardikpandya93 share a light moment post-match #Spiritofcricket #MIvKXIP."

Talking about the match yesterday, the team Mumbai Indians posted a total of 186 runs. The high scorers from Mumbai Indians included a couple of names- Kieron Pollard and Krunal Pandya who smashed 50 and 32 respectively. However, from the Kings XI Punjab side, none of them apart from KL Rahul and Aaron Finch contributed enough. Aaron Finch got out on 46 off 35 balls. Post the match, Ravichandran Ashwin said, “Pretty blank at this point of time. We were in the chase all along, it was a professional batting performance. Just didn't work out in the end. It looked it was going to be a clinical romp but credit to Bumrah - once again proved what a good bowler he is. Today was one of those days where he had to cap off a victory and do it for ourselves, now we need to depend on some luck. We were very abstract about our performance last match and spoke about our best batsmen taking it deep. Credit to Rahul and Finch. It's very difficult to say what Rahul has done right or wrong - he's hardly mistimed a ball this season.”
