Sunrisers Hyderabad’s ex-captain David Warner is keeping a tab of the IPL 2018.
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s ex-captain David Warner is keeping a tab of the IPL 2018. Last night, team SRH won against Kolkata Knight Riders by 15 runs at the Eden Gardens. It was Rashid Khan who led the show by delivering all-around performances. He made 38 runs off 10 balls, claimed 3 wickets and got 2 important catches. His innings comprised two 4s and four 6s. Thus it was obvious for him to walk away with the Man of the Match award. He claimed the important wickets of Chris Lynn, Robin Uthappa and Shivam Mavi.
Now, David Warner also hailed the effort of the spinner. He shared a picture of Rashid and wrote, “Not much more needs to be said, #freak what a game bat and ball. So proud of this young man. Into the finals now for @sunrisershyd and can’t wait to see the boys out there in the final. Gonna be a great game. @rashid.khan19 #orangearmy.”
Even Afghani President Ashraf Ghani praised Rashid Khan for his performance. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Afghans take absolute pride in our hero, Rashid Khan. I am also thankful to our Indian friends for giving our players a platform to show their skills. Rashid reminds us whats best about Afg. He remains an asset to the cricketing world. No we are not giving him away. @narendramodi.”
After winning the match, Kane Williamson said, “Was a great fighting effort, game ebbed and flowed. Game could've gone either way, fell our way in crunch moments. Credit to the way the boys finished off. Was slipping away at the start, but we pulled it back nicely to get wickets. Rashid was brilliant, but he's got another game day after. We'll keep him wrapped up. Exciting, must-win game, great to go through to the final, important to move on. As a team we fight till the last ball, showed that today. Someone like Rashid is the perfect example of that. Outstanding talent, but a team effort. Lot of the guys chipped in, great team fighting effort which is the attitude we want to see. I the thing we didn't change was our balance, Saha was injured but he came back, was nice to have his experience. Every one of the guys have played a huge part, whether on or off the field." Team SRH will now take on Chennai Super Kings in the finals of the IPL 11 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
