Indian Men's Compound Team Settles For Silver Medal in Asian Games 2018, India's Medal Tally Rises to 43

The men’s archery team, comprising Rajat Chauhan, Aman Saini and Abhishek Verma, settled for the silver medal in the Asian games. With this India's medal tally touches 43 including 8 gold, 15 silver and 20 bronze.

Jakarta, August 28: The men’s archery team, comprising Rajat Chauhan, Aman Saini and Abhishek Verma, settled for the silver medal in the 18th Asian games after losing to South Korea in the shoot off.  With this, India's medal tally touches 43 including 8 gold, 15 silver and 20 bronze. In the big semi-final, the Indian team defeated Taiwan's troika of Lin Chewei, Lin Hsinmin and Pan Yuping 230-227.

Earlier in the day, Indian archers took silver in the Compound Women's Team category following a narrow loss to South Korea at the 18th Asian Games here on Tuesday. The Indians gave a tough fight to the overwhelming favourites before going down 228-231 in the final.

The Indian team of Muskan Kirar, Madhumita Kumari and Jyothi Vennam won the first set, but could not sustain the momentum, going down 59-57, 56-58, 58-58, 55-58.
