In 2013, tri-series in West Indies, The Indian batting stalwart got the reigns of captaincy for the first time in international cricket and he delivered in style. In only the second game of his captaincy career, Kohli demolished the West Indies bowling line-up to all parts of the ground and scored an amazing ton. The right-handed-batsman scored 102 from 83 deliveries and guided India to a mammoth total which proved too much for the Windies batsman and India won the match by 102 runs.

Rohit Sharma-86

This was India’s first series since their triumph in the 2011 world cup. So, many senior players got the rest and it gave chance to Rohit Sharma to prove his mettle. The Indian top-order collapsed in the third match of the series and all the responsibility came down to Rohit Sharma who batted at number four in that encounter. The right-handed-batsman played a sensible knock of 86 and guided India to victory by three wickets.

Virat Kohli-200

The Indian skipper shined in the first Test match of the 2016 India vs West Indies series and notched up his maiden double hundred. After an unbelievable IPL season, the then 27-year-old didn’t take long to adjust to the longest format. He scored 200 from 283 deliveries and guided India to a gigantic first Innings score and the hosts were never able to come back in the game. India won the match by an innings and 92 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the series.

Ajinkya Rahane- 108

The Indian Test vice-captain was at his best in the second encounter of the 2016 Test series. After West Indies got bundled out for 196 in the first innings, the pitch seemed quite bowling friendly but  Rahane showed great resilience and notched up his eighth ton. The right-handed batsman guided India to 500  but the encounter was spoiled by rain and the match resulted in a draw.

Kl Rahul- 110

In the first T20 international on the 2016 tour, the Karnataka batsman shined and played an unbelievable knock. The World T20 champions posted a gigantic total of 245 in the first innings and the match seemed to be a one-sided encounter but KL had other plans. The 26-year-old toiled the West Indies bowler to all parts of the ground and scored his maiden T2O international ton. However, the effort wasn’t enough and India lost the match by one run.

So, these were some great knocks played by the Indian batsman in West Indies. The current Indian squad also consists of some great veterans and some rising stars and it will be a great opportunity for all to showcase their capability.
