India have beaten Nepal in the very first match of Kho Kho World Cup 2025! The match was a pretty thrilling one as they edge past their Asian rivals by just five points! A magnificent game to kickstart the Kho Kho World Cup 2025. India got off to a fine start in the first turn but Nepal gradually grew into the match. After scoring 24 in the first turn with winning the toss, India could manage just 18 in the third turn where they attacked. Nepal did get a dream run and managed to put up an impressive performance in the last turn. Subramani V made the difference for India in this match, consuming more than 40 seconds and eventually, it was just five points that separated India and Nepal in the end! The hosts will get a lot of momentum from this win while Nepal can be mighty proud of their performance.

The match is headed for a tense finish with Nepal reducing the gap to just seven points. Pabani Sabar survived that call after the TV umpire declared that he was not out with the Nepal attacker changing the direction.

Subramani V held fort for India in this batch, killing a lot of time but Nepal finally managed to eliminate him after the other defenders were knocked out.

Nepal are doing far better than what they did in the first turn. Their defenders have managed to evade the Indian attackers but Pratik Waikar and co have, after a bit of difficulty, managed to clean up the second batch of Nepal defenders.

Nepal have a dream run and they have added one point to their tally. A dream run is when a defender manages to remain on the mat without being eliminated/tagged for three minutes and the Nepal defender did just that!

Nepal have made a good start in this third turn but India have picked up pace and eliminated all three defenders of the visiting team. India have a 10-point lead now.

The Indian defenders have managed to put Nepal at bay and gain a four-point lead in this turn. We have two more turns left in this match and India will attack in the third turn, hoping to build on this lead. Some breathtaking action this!

Aniket Pote, the last Indian defender in this batch felt that he was not touched while Nepal as well as the referee believe that there was a touch. Interesting moment this! The replay showed that there was a touch and Nepal have 18 points!

The seocnd batch of Indian defenders have been cleared as well and now it is a challenging phase for India in this match. Nepal have struggled at times but managed to keep ticking the scorecard here.
