India Win By Six Wickets | India vs Afghanistan Highlights of 2nd T20I 2024: Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube Power Hosts to Series Victory

Some exceptional ball striking from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube as India seal series victory with this six-wicket victory. The target was never enough on this belter and despite the early losses India has made sure that it wasn't even near enough. India take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series and Afghanistan will be disappointed by their performance. 

Out! Yashasvi Jaiswal miscues a cut and the ball from Karim Janat takes a nick on it's way to the hands of wicketkeeper Rahmanullah Gurbaz. End of a fantastic innings from Jaiswal and he has powered India very near to a series victory. 

Fifty! Some exceptional hitting from Shivam Dube and he backs up his good performance in the 1st T20I with a sensational half-century in the next match. He brings up his fifty in just 22 deliveries. 

Fifty! A fantastic knock from Yashasvi Jaiswal and he proves why he has been selected in the team ahead of the likes of Shubman Gill and Ruturaj Gaikwad. Takes the game on from the first over and hits some classic shots to reach his half-century. 

Out! Virat Kohli tries to hit Naveen-ul-Haq over the top over mid on, but just a little fault in execution sends the ball straight into the hands of the fielder. Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal combined to give India a solid start in the powerplay after Rohit Sharma's dismissal. 

Out! Rohit Sharma goes for a second consecutive duck in two matches. This time he tries a wild slog in his first ball and Fazalhaq Farooqi's ball completely evades his swing to crash into the stumps. Massive breakthrough for Afghanistan. 

Four wickets in the last over of Arshdeep Singh. First Karim Janat holes out in the deep. Then Noor Ahmad fails to clear the ropes in mid-wicket. Mujeeb ur Rahman and Fazalhaq Farooqi dismissed in the final two balls by run-out. Some fine cameos from Najibullah Zadran, Mujeeb ur Rahman and Karim Janat took them to a respectable score to challenge the Indian batters. 

Out! Najibullah Zadran tries to go big but misreads Arshdeep Singh's slower one which doesn't bounce much, takes the inside edge of the batter and crashes into the stumps. Big wicket for India as he could give a strong finish to Afghanistan. 

Out! Ravi Bishnoi takes his second wicket of the day and it comes in the form of Mohammad Nabi. Nabi tries to release the pressure trying to going over long on but fails to clear the rope. Afghanistn in trouble now. 

Out! It is Axar Patel again who gives India a much needed breakthrough. Some tight bowling and Gulbadon Naib tries to drag one to the legside without getting much elevation and gets holed out at mid-wicket. Gulbadin was looking dangerous and it is a massive wicket for India. 

Fifty! Gulbadin Naib has pounced on his opportunity batting higher up the order. Coming it when Afghanistan were under pressure, he played a quickfire knock taking them out of trouble and also completed his half-century in just 28 deliveries. 

Out! Afghanistan loses two wickets in quick succession. First Axar Patel picks the wicket of captain Ibrahim Zadran in last ball of the powerplay. In the next over Shivam Dube dismisses Azmatullah Omarzai with a deceptive change of pace delivery. Afghanistan's job gets tougher from here. 

Out! India get the danger man early. It is Ravi Bishnoi again who draws first blood. Just the 2nd ball in his spell, Rahmanullah Gurbaz tries to go over the top and holes out at mid on.
