Indian shooters made the country proud at the ISSF World Cup 2019 in Munich. At the 2019 ISSF World Cup, the annual edition of the ISSF World Cup in the Olympic shooting events, India bagged five gold medals to top the medal table. It left China far behind at ISSF World Cup 2019 medal table as they could clinch just two gold medals. The five gold medallists from India are - Saurabh Chaudhary, Manu Bhaker, Anjum Moudgil, Divyansh Panwar, Rahi Sarnobat and Apurvi Chandela. Team India also added a silver in Munich to take their overall medal tally to 5 gold medals and 1 silver and secure the first rank in the country wise medal standings. At the Munich leg of ISSF World Cup, India finished on a high, bagging gold medals in two events. It started off with Anjum Moudgil and Divyansh Panwar clinching the gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team Event. In the same event, another Indian pair, Apurvi Chandela and Deepak Kumar finished second to settle with a silver medal. The second gold medal for the day came when another young pair of Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary hit the bull’s eye in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team match. It was Saurabh’s second gold of the week after having emerged victorious in the Men’s 10m Air Pistol Event, breaking his own world record.

Apurvi Chandela kicked off the winning campaign for India after the 26-year-old won the gold in Women's 10m Air Rifle at the ISSF World Cup in Munich. It was followed by India's Rahi Sarnobat who won the gold in 25m Pistol Event at the ISSF World Cup in Munich. The 28-year-old in the process also sealed a quota place for India in the event for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. While Bhaker missed out on a medal in the individual event, she has sealed a quota for the Tokyo Olympics with a fourth-place finish at the ISSF World Cup. Anjum Moudgil-Divyansh Panwar Win Gold Medal at ISSF World Cup 2019; Apurvi Chandela-Deepak Kumar Settle For Silver in 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team Event.
Apart from Bhaker and Sarnobat, Anjum Moudgil, Apurvi Chandela, Saurabh Chaudhary, Abhishek Verma and Divyansh Singh Panwar have won Olympic quotas. Earlier in April, India ended their campaign at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup in Beijing with a total of four medals: three golds and a silver. They are the table toppers at the end of three legs of ISSF World Cup in New Delhi, Beijing and Munich. Next stop is Rio de Janeiro.
