India on Top in Cycling: Men’s Junior Cyclists Esow Alben and Ronaldo Laitonjam Dominate Rankings

India has achieved a great triumph in the sport of cycling as the Indian Junior Team are now ranked top men’s junior team sprint. Many Junior cyclists dominate rankings in various events of the cycling sport. Sports Authority of India (SAI) informed everyone on Twitter about India's remarkable feats. India’s Ronaldo Laitonjam Sets Junior Asian Cycling Record at the Track Asia Cup Cycling Competition 2019. 

Esow Alben is top-ranked sportsman in Men's Junior Sprint. Ronaldo Laitonjam is another Indian cyclist and holds 2nd spot in Men's Junior Sprint. In Men’s Junior. Keirin, Esow is ranked no.1. In Men’s Junior 1 km time trial, Ronaldo is ranked number 3. SAI's tweet on Wednesday revealed about all these rankings. Ministry of Sports also shared the news on Twitter. Below is the SAI tweet.

India Dominate Cycling!

Earlier in Track Asia Cup Cycling Competition 2019, Indian cyclists had also performed brilliantly. Ronaldo Laitonjam won two gold medals on Day 1 of the game. He clocked 10.065 seconds in qualifying round of the men's junior 200m time trial event, breaking the previous record of 10.149 seconds. Venkappa Shiva K had won gold individual pursuit (3 km) in men's junior section.

In Men's Elite Keirin event at Track Asia Cup 2019, Esow Alben won a gold medal. Amarjeet Singh Nagi had won a bronze medal in the same event. India also topped the medals tally with 10 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze medals in Track Asia Cup 2019. The events took place at IGI Sports Complex in Delhi.
