Bhubaneswar (Odisha), August 28: While the nation celebrated Neeraj Chopra’s historic gold medal win at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Odisha’s Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik recognised the efforts of a lesser-known athlete from his state. Kishore Jena, Odisha’s javelin star, became the first from the state to represent India at the Finals of the World Athletics Championship in Budapest and achieved a commendable fifth-place finish. Jena finished fifth in the championship final with a throw of 84.77 metres.
