Ajinkya Rahane walked away with the man of the match award for his 81 and 102 in the first and the second innings respectively. Even Indian skipper Virat Kohli had a few words of praises for the right-hander and said, “Jinks was very good in both the innings. It was more of a grind. We had to come back into the game three or four times. That's where our temperament has been good in Tests.” While speaking about Jasprit Bumrah he also said that the pacer will play an important role in the Test Championship. India will play the second test match at the Kingston Cricket Ground in Jamaica on August 30, 2019.
