IND 2-1 PAK | India vs Pakistan Hockey Live Score Updates: Fifth Win for India as Men in Blue Defend Well in Second Half

Even with a man down, Pakistan were posing a constant threat and delivered long balls into the attacking front. But India defended well and secured their fifth win in the tournament.  

Chaos in the middle. The on-field umpire takes a review for serious misconduct between Jugraj and Rana inside the circle. After the TV umpire's suggestion, Rana gets a yellow card for hitting the Indian in his face with the shoulder. The Pakistan player is sent off for 10 minutes, meaning their team will have to finish the match with 10 players.

Back-to-back penalty saves from keeper Krishan Pathak allow India to hold on to a goal lead at the end of the third quarter. India mostly played defensively after halftime.

Pakistan pushing hard for an equaliser, while India is holding their defensive line. On one occasion Shahid tries to create a chance from the left side but it’s blocked. Soon after, Shakeel attempts an aerial pass into the circle, but yet again, India block it.

Two goals from Harmanpreet Singh put India in control after exciting first half. Ahmad Nadeem scored first goal of the match but Men in Blue responded well and scored two goals in space of 10 minutes.

Goal for India! Harmanpreet Singh strikes again. Abhishek injects the ball and Harmanpreet sends his drag-flick into the bottom right corner yet again! Second goal of the match for the captain. 

Pakistan scored first putting India under pressure, but captain Harmanpreet Singh once again delivered for his side as teams finish the first quarter with 1-1 scoreline. 

GOAL for India! It's Harmanpreet Singh who levels the score for India as he sends his drag-flick into the bottom right corner.

GOAL for Pakistan ! Hannan Shahid flies across towards the Indian circle and passes one onto Ahmad Nadeem, who deflects it into the Indian goal with ease. 

After defending deep in the first few minutes, Pakistan are now surging forward. Shaqeel sprints in from the left side and beats Harmanpreet, attempting a goal, but the Indian keeper has the near post covered.

India looking for an early goal - a tactic that has worked well for the men in blue so far in the competition. 

After four wins in four matches, India Men's Hockey Team will be aiming for the fifth straight win as they take on another 'undefeated' side in the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 - Pakistan. Players are about to enter the field.
