After a time span of seven years, the Hockey India League back and the auction for the 2024-25 edition of the tournament will be held from October 13 to October 15. The HIL 2024-25 auction will consists of both the women's and men's leagues. The Women's Hockey India League will consists of six teams followed by eight teams in the men's league. All of them will be battling out on the auction and will look forward to signing the best Indian and overseas hockey players. The HIL 2024-25 auction will be held over a time span of three days and each team can build a maximum team of 24 players. The Hockey India has confirmed that the players have been given an international window in the last week of December and first week of February wherein top international stars will be able to participate in the period of next ten years. Each men's team has a purse of INR 4 crore and women's team have a purse of INR 2 crore to spend in the auction. There isn't any price limit to spend on an individual player but this doesn't mean that every team will spend too much on one single player.
