Haryana Steelers walked away with all the attention at the Pro Kabaddi League 2018 (PKL 2018) auction as they bought raider Monu Goyat for whopping INR 1.51 crore. With it, he became the highest paid player in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League. Meanwhile, Haryana Steelers, who made their PKL debut last year, will be looking for a strong finish this year. Apart from Monu, the Haryana-based franchise will have the services of Surender Nada, Vikash Khandola, Sachin Shingade and Kuldeep Singh. In their debut season, Haryana Steelers managed to qualify for the playoffs after finishing third in Zone A, with 13 wins from their 22 matches. However, Haryana Steelers lost the Eliminator against eventual champions Patna Pirates and thus were knock out of the tournament.

No doubt Monu was paid such a high amount. The raider was with three-time champions Patna Pirates last season and will defiantly bring loads of experience to the table. Zakir Hossain (INR 8.4 lakh), Arun Kumar HN ( INR 6.6 lakh), Anand Tomar (INR 5 lakh), Bhuvneshwar Gaur (INR 5 lakh). Defenders: Surender Nada (INR 75 lakh), Sachin Shingade (INR 20 lakh), Vikash (INR 6.6 lakh), Neeraj Kumar (INR 6.6 lakh), Amit Singh (INR 5 lakh).
