Mumbai, September 10: The Indian contingent concluded its historic Paris Paralympics campaign with a total of 29 medals, including seven gold, nine silver, and 13 bronze medals, the most by the country in the history of the competition. With this, India surpassed their previous most successful campaign at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, which gave them 19 medals, including five golds, eight silvers, and six bronze medals. Sheetal Devi and Rakesh Kumar
The Indian archery pair of Rakesh Kumar and Sheetal Devi clinched the bronze medal in the Mixed Team Compound event at the Paris Paralympics. They also won India's first Paralympic medal in recurve archery.
Kapil Parmar
The world no. 1 para-judo player Kapil lost in the semifinal and bowed out of the Men's J1 - 60 KG category at the Paris Paralympics. However, he clinched a bronze medal by ousting Brazil's Elielton de Oliveira. He was the first Indian Paralympic medallist in judo.
Harvinder Singh
Harvinder got his hands on India's first-ever gold medal in para-archery at the Paralympics. In a one-sided final, Harvinder ousted Poland's Lukasz Ciszek with a straight-set win, 6-0.
Hokato Hotozhe Sema
Hokato Hotozhe Sema secured a bronze medal for the country at the para multi-sport event in the final of the men's shot put F57 final. He became the first Paralympian from Nagaland, while also becoming the first medallist from his state. Preethi Pal
On her Paralympic debut, Preethi Pal became the only para-athlete from the nation to win multiple medals in Paris. The 23-year-old won bronze medals in both the 100m and 200m T35 events.
