Malmo fans are still upset with their club legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic after he became a co-owner of rival club Hammarby as his statue outside the stadium was once again targeted. After setting Zlatan’s statue ablaze in November this year, vandals have once again attacked the Swedish striker’s monument outside the Malmo stadium as this time the angry fans have cut off the statue’s nose. The former Sweden International was honoured in October with a nine-foot statue made by Swedish artist Peter Lindle, for the successful years he spent at the club. Zlatan’s legacy at Malmo is in turmoil as the fans are still upset with the striker for co-owning rival club Hammarby and this is the second time in two months that his statue outside the stadium has been attacked. Angry fans had previously sprayed it with paint, set it on fire and put a toilet seat over its arm. Zlatan’s house in Stockholm was also vandalized last month, as supporters spray-painted ‘Judas’ across his front door. The Swedish striker played for Malmo for 1999 to 2001 and scored 16 goals in 40 appearances for them. The Swede is a Malmo legend, and it is not because of his fantastic career at the club but because one of Sweden’s greatest ever player's started his journey over there. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is currently a free agent as his contract with MLS club LA Galaxy has expired and has been linked with a move to various different clubs across Europe. The Swedes new destination appears to be in the Premier League at Everton as the new Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti has suggested that the striker could be his first signing in the New Year.
