Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri is in Mumbai for the Intercontinental Cup. After winning the match on June 4 against Kenya by 3-0, the star footballer was heading to the dressing room. Fans who were at the stadium were cheering for Chhetri. Just then one of the fans to grab his attention dropped the Indian flag as Chettri was walking.
The security guards picked up the flag and but the fan’s act didn’t go down well with the football star. He looked up to the fan who was in the stands and politely said, “Please don’t throw our tiranga like this.” One of the fans captured the video and shared the same on social media. Talking about the match, the event was declared as sold out after Chhetri requested the Indian fans to turn up to the stadium for cheering the team. He took to Twitter to thank the fans for the support and wrote, “We promise you that if that’s the kind of support we get every time we play for the country, we will give our lives on the pitch. India, this night was special because we were in this together. Those in the stands shouting, and the ones at home cheering - thank you!”

Sunil Chhetri had posted a video where he had requested the fans to turn up into the stadiums as the team needed them the most. The video was further shared by Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. They too requested the fans to support the team.
