The USA Women's football team beat Netherlands 2-0 to claim the title of FIFA Women's World Cup 2019. USA were the defending champions in the tournament and once again proved their supremacy in the Quadrennial Football Tournament. The FIFA Women's World Cup 2019 final was played tonight between USA and Netherlands. Both the teams did extremely well to reach the finals of the tournament. This was Netherlands' first finals of the Women's world cup.
The major women's football event kicked off in France on June 7. The event concluded with USA winning the trophy for second time in a row. The USA beat Thailand, Chile, Sweden, Spain, France, England and Netherlands in the finals to win the trophy.
There were no goals in the first half as both teams managed to contain each other from scoring. However, the United States came out with great resolution in the second half as they scored two goals. Megan Rapinoe netted the opening goal of the match through a penalty in the 61st minute. The USA team scored another goal within next eight minutes to further their lead over the Netherlands. Rose Lavelle hit the second scored of the position.
