Manchester City faced an early scare as Ishak Belfodil handed his club, Hoffenheim, a lead in the first minute of the match itself. However, Sergio Aguero scored the equaliser in the 7th minute and calmed the nerves. A David Silva special in the 87th minute assured City of a victory in the match.

With two wins in two matches, the Italian club has 6 points in the bag. With the win, Juventus has grabbed the top spot on the Group H standings of UEFA Champions League 2018-19. As for Young Boys, their second consecutive defeat has pushed them to the bottom spot.

Benfica defeated AEK in an exciting contest that took place at Athens Olympic Stadium, in Greece. Benfica took an early lead in the match, with the first goal scored in the 6th minute, and doubled their lead in the 15th minute. Viktor Klonaridis scored back to back goals in the 53rd and 63rd minute to equalise the scoreline for Athens. However, a late goal from Benfica’s Alfa Semedo in the 74th minute all but sealed the fate for AEK.

With the win, Benfica is on the third spot of Group E of UEFA Champions League 2018-19 with a win and a loss against their name. As for AEK, two losses in two matches have pushed them on the fourth spot in the group.

4. CSKA Moscow 1-0 Real Madrid | UEFA Champions League 2018-19 Match Video Highlights

The Spanish Giants were stunned by a shock-defeat they had to face against the Russian club. Toni Kroos had passed the ball inadvertently to the defence line, but was intercepted well by Nikolas Vlasic. The goal in the second minute of the match was the sole goal in the match. Junio Moraes broke the deadlock for Shakhtar in the 44th minute, when he scored a splendid goal. He scored his second goal of the match, only 10 minutes in the second half. However, goals from Moussa Dembele and Leo Dubois in the 70th and 72nd minute of the match to even the odd scoreline.

With this draw, Lyon is on the top spot of Group F standings at 2018-19 UEFA Champions League, as they 4 points with them. Shakhtar Donetsk is on the third place as they only have 2 points against their name.

8. AS Roma 5-0 Plzen | UEFA Champions League 2018-19 Match Video Highlights

AS Roma defeated Plzen with a massive margin in their Group G match. Edin Dzeko scored a hat-trick in the match as he scored in the 3rd, 40th, and 90+2nd minute to ensure his side sails through the Czech club. Goals from Cengiz Under and Justin Kluivert in the 64th and 73rd minute only add more misery to their woes.

With the victory, AS Roma is lying on the third spot of Group G standings of the UEFA Champions League 2018-19. Plzen has a draw and a loss against their name, and hence, is languishing at the bottom spot.
