UEFA Champions League 2017-18 Schedule: Complete Fixtures, Match Time, Results of Round of 16 Football Matches

There are a lot of exciting clashes on the cards as Real Madrid will play Paris Saint-Germain; Barcelona would be looking forward to avenging their loss against Chelsea in 2012 edition.

The Round of 16 in Champions League 2017-18 ended, on March 15, with teams of Real Madrid, Liverpool, Juventus, Manchester City, Sevilla, AS Roma, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich qualifying for the Quarter-finals of the tournament. The teams that couldn't make the cut were Tottenham Hotspur, Basel, Porto, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Besiktas, Chelsea, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Manchester United and missed the Quarter-finals spot.

The exciting phase of football saw shocking exits of PSG, Chelsea, and Manchester United. With the Quarter-final draw scheduled to take place on March 16, 2018, it will be interesting to see which teams will play against whom in the next round.

UEFA Champions League 2018 is about to enter an exciting phase as the Leg 1 of Round of 16 is about to begin. The first leg of the prestigious football tournament will kick-off on February 14 and is scheduled to end on March 15. The opening match of the first leg of the Champions League 2018 will be played between Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur at Juventus Stadium. The draws are already being tipped as quite exciting; it will see many nail-biting contests take place and a lot of heart-breaks amongst football fans.

A total of 32 teams were divided into four groups A, B, C, and D in August last year. The teams competed in the round-robin format and the group’s winners and runners-up advanced to the knock-out phase (Round of 16).

Manchester United and Basel qualified from Group A; Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich were the winners and runners-up respectively from Group B; Roma and Chelsea occupied the top two spots in Group C; Barcelona and Juventus qualified from Group D; Liverpool and Sevilla were table toppers in Group E; Manchester City and Shakhtar Donetsk qualified from Group F; Besiktas and Porto qualified from Group G.

The draw for the quarter-finals will take place on March 16, a day after both the legs in Round of 16 will be completed. The draws will take place at UEFA Headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) is currently the highest goal-scorer in the Champions League 2017-18 with 9 goals. Real Madrid is the defending champions and would be looking forward to winning a major title in the 2017-2018 season.
