Summer Transfer News 2018 Update: Top 5 Possible Transfers Ahead of La Liga, English Premier League and Other Football Leagues

Post-FIFA World Cup 2018, transfer saga has always seen quite a hectic backroom activities involving the coaches, boards and the players. This year’s summer transfer window is no different with so many gossips flying in the footballing circles, but nothing concrete has happened regarding official deals. Many EPL clubs in particular Chelsea and Manchester United have been active in the window and would want to recruit two new players each at least before they begin their campaign.

1. Willian ( Chelsea to Real Madrid)

The Brazil international has failed to report to training at Chelsea due to an administrative issue, but many believe the Chelsea wide man is buying time to resolve his future. While Chelsea is confident of keeping one of their star men for the season, both Manchester United and Real Madrid are in active pursuit of the player.

Manchester United had also bid more than 75 million euros for the player, but it is believed Chelsea turned it down. By the end of this week, his future should be in the clear.

2. Harry Maguire ( Leicester City to Manchester United)

England’s World Cup star is a massive favourite of Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho, and he has been tracked for two weeks now by the Red Devils. Although his current club Leicester City are reluctant to sell their star man, the amount of money at offer could be just too tempting for the 24-year-old to turn down.

He is currently on holiday and the deal could be wrapped up by the end of this week if he gives the go ahead.

3. Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona to Arsenal)

Arsenal is interested in French winger Ousmane Dembele who has failed to light up Nou Camp after his 150 m euros moved to Barcelona last season. After finding himself on the bench for the majority of the season, Dembele is eager to leave Barcelona, and new Arsenal coach Unai Emery is interested in bringing this top talent to the London based club.

He has also sanctioned a move involving club favourite Aron Ramsey to go in the opposite direction plus cash. This deal will be more evident in the coming few days.

4. Gonzalo Higuain (Juventus to AC Milan)

The Juventus striker has agreed for a loan move to AC Milan for 18m euros which can be made permanent for a fee of 36m euros. The decision was taken after the Juventus board met his agent and informed him that he was not in the plan of things for coach Massimiliano Allegri.

The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo was always seen as a red alert for Higuain, and now his future seems to be finally resolved.

5. Yerry Mina (Barcelona to Manchester United)

Barcelona's Yerry Mina is not a happy man and is desperate for a move away from Nou Camp after joining them last season. The disgruntled star defender had a fantastic World Cup and is Jose Mourinho’s prime target.

Manchester United could get Mina for substantially less amount compared to their deal involving Harry Maguire, and this goes in favour of the Colombian. Many Spanish outlets are reporting that his move to Manchester United is a done deal and only a few minute details need resolving.
