Sunil Chhetri’s appeal to the fans has reached many ears. First, it was Virat Kohli who supported him and then a while ago we told you Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza demanded a ticket from Sunil Chhetri to watch his football match. Now joining them is the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar who not only asked the fans to fill up the stadium but also stated how important it is to support the athletes.

He took to Twitter and shared a clip where he said, “It is really important that all of us stand behind them. Our athletes go through rigorous training sessions to bring laurels for our country. The dream is to represent our nation and it is really hard. Guys, we must stand behind our athletes, support them because getting support from all the well-wishers is the best honour an athlete can have. Come team Indian this is our time to support them.”

He captioned the clip, “C'mon India... Let's fill in the stadiums and support our teams wherever and whenever they are playing. @chetrisunil11 @IndianFootball.”

The Indian football team is currently playing in Mumbai for the Intercontinental Cup. Chhetri, the Indian football captain in the video shared by him said, “All the fans, who came out in Mumbai to support us...thank you. It means the world to us. But, I'm making this video, not for you guys, I'm going to speak, appeal and request all of you, who did not come. To everyone, who is not a football fan...please come and watch us. Two reasons...number one: it is the best game in the world and number two, we play for our country. We will make sure that once you come to watch us, you will not go the same person back home,” he said.
