Romelu Lukaku has been transferred to Inter Milan just a few days ago and the Belgium striker did not waste time in proving his worth. He has had a positive start for the club as he played against Serie D side Virtus Bergamo. It was his pre-season match where he scored four goals and led his side to an 8-0 victory. He was signed by Inter Milan for a reported sum of £74m from Manchester United. He was assigned the number nine jersey and made a great impression at the club. Yesterday, even the official account of Inter Milan welcomed the Belgium striker with pomp. They took to social media and shared a small clip where they gave a warm welcome to Lukaku. Using the hashtags ‘Welcome Romelu’ and ‘Not For Everyone’, Inter tweeted: “Prepare yourselves, the giant has arrived!” Manchester United officially announced the exit of Romelu Lukaku last week.

Lukaku has joined on a five-year deal last week and will hope to be involved in the Nerazzurri’s first Serie A fixture against Lecce on 26 August.  His contract in the Italian club will end in 2023-24. In fact, Jose Mourinho slammed Manchester United for selling off Lukaku and even mentioned that this was quite a big loss for the Red Devils. Inter Milan will play their first match at Serie A against Lecce on August 26, 2019.
