The Premier league 2023-24 is at it's business end now with only four matches remaining in the competition. The race for the title as well as the European spots has intensified in the last few gameweeks of the season. Manchester United's poor run across competition continued as well as they could only muster a point against Burnley on Saturday after substitute Zeki Amdouni scored a late penalty to rescue a 1-1 Premier League draw for the relegation-threatened side. Chelsea's suffering go on in the Premier League as a brilliant second half performance was not enough for them to edge past Aston Villa who consolidated at the number four position in the Premier League 2023-24 league table with a 2-2 draw. A poor first half from Chelsea saw Aston Villa take a 2-0 lead including a goal by Nicholas Jackson cancelled due to offside. Villa midfielder John McGinn's shot was scuffed into his own net by Marc Cucurella in the fourth minute. it was followed by a goal from Morgan Rogers added their second goal just before the break, his third in three home games for Villa. Led by Connor Gallagher, Chelsea made a comeback in the second half with Noni Madueke and Gallagher scoring for the Blues.
