Watford have sacked manager Quique Sanchez Flores after 85 days in charge, having re-appointed him as the replacement for former boss Javi Garcia. This decision came after his side were defeated 2-1 in their latest Premier League encounter against Southampton on Saturday. The Spaniard, who replaced his fellow countrymen Gracia four games into the season won just one of his 10 Premier League matches. This has left Watford struggling at the foot of the table with eight points from 14 games and six points away from safety. Quique lasted less than three months in his second spell in charge of the Hornets before he was shown the exit door by the club hierarchy. 'Quique is a man of great integrity and it was clear how much he wanted to have a positive impact, but ultimately results have dictated our decision,' said Chairman Duxbury in a club statement. The club also clarified that the new head coach will be appointed soon. 'The appointment of a new Head Coach is imminent, and with nearly two-thirds of the season remaining, we will provide all the support necessary to make the coming months successful.' the Hornets added to their statement. Getting out of the relegation zone will be a tough task for the new manager in charge and will have to change the team’s fortunes as quickly as possible if they are to survive for another season in the Premier League.
