On Monday, Manchester United suffered the most humiliating defeat in their own backyard by 0-3 against the Spurs. England captain Harry Kane scored one goal and the rest of the two were made by Lucas Moura. It was Manchester United’s ugliest defeat since 1992-93. The players are obviously dejected with the loss. While Paul Pogba and others are ruffled with the defeat, goalkeeper David De Gea sent out a message to the fans via an Instagram post.
He took to Instagram and posted a picture of the players standing by each other. What caught our attention was the caption which read, “United now more than ever 🔴.” Check out his post below.
After losing the match, Paul Pogba said, “It's bizarre. We were determined, we started well, and in the end, we lost 3-0. It's a shock. Even we don't understand what happened. We started the game really well, we conceded two goals in the second half. The first goal was a real blow, we didn't understand why, because we had the game in hand. One goal, two... we kept pushing, we had chances, and we conceded the third. The fans kept pushing us, they were really behind us. We feel really sorry for them, very disappointed. We wanted to do better. I think it was an undeserved defeat for us, in our desire, in everything we put into it. But football can be cruel. We just have to bounce back.”
Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho stormed out of the press conference yesterday. The Portuguese held up his three fingers and asked the press, “Do you know what this means? 3-0. That also means three Premiership (titles) and I won more Premiership alone than the other 19 managers together. Three for me and two for them.” Mourinho repeated himself and said, “Respect, respect, respect,” as he stormed out of the press conference. As of now, Manchester United stands on number three of the Premier League 2018 table.
