Manchester United’s Paul Pogba who is currently out enjoying his time off after a stupendous World Cup campaign in Russia is a Juventus transfer target as per reports in Italy. The French midfielder who had a brilliant spell in Turin with Juventus was one of Jose Mourinho’s first buys at Manchester United back in 2016. But after two mostly disappointing seasons where he has shown only during bits and parts and dogged by spells on the bench, many in the footballing world believe it is now time for Pogba to head back to the club that made him the superstar he is.

Let us look at the four big reasons that are behind this thought process and how can Juventus get the best out of Paul Pogba.

1. No Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho’s utilisation of Paul Pogba has been painful for all the Paul Pogba fans as he has been mostly deployed in a two-person midfield role with minimal cover for the Frenchman.

It is a known fact that Paul Pogba is not adept at tracking back or marking key men in midfield, but his Portuguese coach in England has failed to come up with an alternative approach surrounding the midfielder. If Pogba is given the license to roam in a three-person midfield, the results will be for all to see.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus

Paul Pogba struggled for quality at Manchester United and more often than not it was left to him to drive his team when the chips were down. But this will not be the case if he moves to Juventus with the Turin based club signing world’s deadliest finisher in Cristiano Ronaldo.

Pogba could make use of Ronaldo’s movement and goal scoring to excellent use and notch up a flurry of assists. It is a known fact that great players get that great player to complement each other and this could be a massive factor in Pogba shining.

3. Italian League

The Italian Serie A is less physical compared to the English Premier League and is well suited for someone like Paul Pogba who likes to run with the ball in advance areas. His rampaging style of play has rarely been on display in Manchester which has also affected his goal scoring form.

With players like Fernandinho and NGolo Kante in opposition line-ups who are known for breathing down the neck of opposing midfielders, it has been quite an impossible task for Pogba to express himself. Something he can do freely in a slower but technically adept Italian League.

4. World Cup Form

Everyone was impressed with what Didier Deschamps did with Pogba in Russia by giving him all the freedom in the world to play his natural game, and the French coach was rewarded with one sublime performance after another by his mercurial midfielder.

The last thing the Pogba camp will need is for him to return and go back to playing lacklustre football again. Hence, a new project at a new club will be a step in the right direction.

While all the news of Paul Pogba being monitored by Juventus and asking his agent Mino Raiola to broker a deal for his comeback are mere speculations at the moment, he could very well turn out to be a success at Juventus just like the last time when he had come back from Old Trafford.
