Ousmane Dembele Joins Injured Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, Barcelona Forward Ruled Out for Five Weeks Due to Hamstring Injury

Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele has suffered an injury and he will be out of action for around five weeks. Dembele is the third injury scare for the Spanish Club after Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, as the duo are also battling with a calf complaint. Dembele is suffering with a strain to his left hamstring. 22-year-old Dembele underwent the test at club's training ground on Monday after Barca's loss to Athletic Bilbao 0-1. Dembele played in Barca’s La Liga tie against Athletic Club. The French footballer played for full 90 minutes in the match. The club later confirmed that he will be missing the next five weeks due to injury. Dembele's absence will put a lot of responsibility on Antoine Griezmann, the new member of the Barcelona team. Messi injured his calf while during Barca's pre-season tour of the United States. Messi has not featured for Barcelona since the end of last season. Messi has not yet returned to full training with his teammates but has been doing recovery work at the training ground for the last week.

Meanwhile, Suarez also suffered a calf problem during Barcelona's 1-0 loss at Sam Mames last week. Barcelona will now have to bank upon Antoine Griezmann, Rafinha, Segi Roberto and Carles Alena. Barcelona is set to face Real Betis in La Liga tie on Monday, August 26.
