He also missed International competitions like the recent Copa America when he was still in rehab with the Brazilian team. He was finally fit to make an appearance for Al-Hilal in the AFC Champions League 2024-25 match against Al-Ain. He came in as a substitute as the manager wanted him ease into the intensity of the game. According to Goal, Neymar's recent injury has made the Al-Hilal officials consider his future with the club. Neymar's time at Al-Hilal may be coming to an abrupt end after the Pro League club informed authorities they do not plan to register the Brazilian for the second half of the season, according to Saudi journalist Walid Al-Faraj. Neymar limped out of their AFC Champions League win against Esteghlal after just 30 minutes with an apparent muscle problem. The Brazilian admitted after the game that doctors had warned him such issues may arise after such a lengthy spell out. Al-Hilal still have two AFC Champions League fixtures before the turn of the year, but it remains to be seen if and when fans will be able to see Neymar again in Al-Hilal colours as he has not been registered by the club in the first half of the Saudi Pro League. Although as of now it seems the Saudi Pro League club is not positive about the Brazilian star's future with them.
