Star Brazilian footballer Neymar has officially broken up with his hot model girlfriend Bruna Marquezine. The two have been dating off and on since 2012, and when they called it quits, Neymar had to do something dramatic to get over the heartache. The Paris Saint-Germain F.C. forward got his favourite superheroes, Spider-Man and Batman inked on his back – entire back! Celebrated tattoo artist Thieres Paim posted pictures of Neymar with new tattoos on his Instagram page. It is no regular-size tattoos but huge inkwork of Marvel and DC heroes! While revealing the incredible tattoos, Paim writes “As you all know @neymarjr is a fan of the characters #spiderman and #batman...,” before further adding, “Today I had the pleasure of tattooing this art on his skin!!!” The tattooist had earlier tattooed Neymar’s arm in the past. But his latest inkwork is breathtakingly beautiful. It has the Dark Knight aka Batman from DC Universe on his right side while the Marvel Comics’ ‘friendly neighbourhood’ Spider-Man is adorning the left side. The two superheroes have completely covered Neymar’s back.

The Batman and Spider-Man add to Neymar’s fantastic collection of tattoos, mostly dedicated to his family members. Some of the notable ones are his father’s eyes drawn on his right elbow, his son’s name Davi Lucca on his left arm, his sister Rafaella drawn on his right arm. In May this year, Neymar got a new tattoo, his mother’s face on his bicep. There are several crowns and phrases bringing the total number of Neymar’s tattoos to 27 at the moment.

Speaking of Neymar and Bruna Marquezine’s breakup, it was the footballer who took the decision to separate. It was confirmed by the 23-year-old Brazilian model in an exclusive interview to Vogue Brazil. She was quoted saying, “We are finished. It was his decision. I am going to ask that this issue isn’t prolonged because normally I don’t speak about my personal life.”

There were rumours of the celebrity couple splitting due to differences in political opinions, but Bruna Marquezine refuted it. "I want it to be clear that it would not be for that," she said. "It was a decision of him, but there is a lot of love and respect, it's all right." Brazil is currently witnessing, and Bruna said it is a "very critical moment" for her country and it is not right to drag such rumours. She claims there is still a ‘lot of love’ between the two and affection for “everything we went through together.”
