Mumbai City FC will take on bottom side Hyderabad FC in Indian Super League with the hopes of making it into the top 4. The match will be played at the Mumbai Sports Arena on Sunday (December 29) and considering the recent form of the clubs, the islanders will start the match as favourites. This is the first-ever meeting between the two teams in ISL so we take a look at some of the key players who can make a big impact on this match. Mumbai City have found their form as they have recorded two back-to-back wins over Bengaluru and Hyderabad after failing to win in six games before that. Amine Chermiti hasn’t scored in two games and this could be considered as a positive, as other players in the team are coming up with the important goals. Meanwhile, Hyderabad are having a season to forget in their first ISL campaign as wins are hard to come by for the newcomers. They have won just one game so far and that came back in early November against Kerala Blasters. Marcelinho returned for their draw against ATK and this will give them a major confidence boost. Ahead of this match, we take a look at some of the key players for this encounter. Indian Super League 2019–20 Points Table Updated.

Amine Chermiti

Amine Chermiti is in good form this season and is Mumbai City’s highest goal-scorer. The Tunisian hasn’t scored in his last two games and bottom side Hyderabad will be the perfect opponent for him to get back his goal-scoring touch. Chermiti has scored four goals in the campaign so far.

Bobo

The Brazilian has been a bright spark in a struggling Hyderabad side as he has scored three goals in his last two matches. He is Hyderabad’s highest scorer this season and will be looking to continue his fantastic form in front of the goal when they face Mumbai.

Paulo Machado

The Portuguese midfielder is the main creative outlet of the Mumbai side as the entire game goes through him. Machado may not be at his brilliant best this season as he has just one goal and one assist to his name but the Mumbai City No. 10 can change the outcome of the match in the blink of an eye and Hyderabad might be the exact opponent he needs.

Marcelinho Pereira

The Brazilian is back from his injury and will be one of Hyderabad’s main players in this match. Marcelinho has two goals and an assist so far in the competition and will look to improve on that tally against the Islanders. He will play in the No 10 role and will look to dominate the tempo of the match.
