Yesterday, Liverpool took on PSG at the Anfield on the Day 1 of the UEFA Champions League 2018. The contest between the two teams went down the live wire as both teams were on 2-2. It was only in the 91st minute that Roberto Firmino scored a goal and gave the much-required lead to the team. No sooner the goal was scored members from Liverpool begun cheering and celebrating for the winning goal. As a result, Paris Saint Germaine lost the game against Liverpool by 2-3. However, Mohamed Salah looked unhappy with the same.

The camera panned towards the Liverpool dugout where Salah who was sitting on the bench, apparently looked dejected. On one hand, where Jurgen Klopp was seen celebrating the goal, Salah was seen throwing his water bottle in a fit of rage. The reaction was picked by netizens on social media and evoked several mixed reactions. Check out a few tweets below:

“Whys @MoSalah not happy,” read a tweet.

“Most probably he’s relieved otherwise he would take the blame for the draw,” read another tweet.

“He’s relieved as he knows his error lead to the Mbappe goal, nothing malicious,” posted another netizen.

“I find it unreasonable that any person would think @ MoSalah was unhappy. That was a reaction of relieve. More like " Yessssss! My mistakes have been atoned for,” read another post.

Another netizen posted, “Odd reaction from @MoSalah to #LFC #Firmino #ChampionsLeague winning goal!.”

Salah who had an amazing season last year has failed to impress in the tournament so far. He has only two goals and two assists on his name. Salah looked short of confidence on the field and could not play up to the mark.
