Cristiano Ronaldo has moved away to Juventus after playing for Real Madrid for 9 years. The team posted a video where they had footages of his best goals for the club. The six and a half minute clip also had the moment where CR7 won the Ballon d’Or. Players like Sergio Ramos, Gareth Bale and many others posted farewell messages for Ronaldo.
Now, Marcelo posted a long message for Ronaldo. He took to Instagram and posted a picture of them together. The snap had a long caption, “Who would’ve thought, right Cris? It’s now time to say good-bye...I swear to you that I never imagined this day would come, but nothing in life lasts forever and I hope you get to be very happy in your new adventure. We spent almost 10 years together, 10 years of happiness, good football, victories, defeats and wonderful times. I learned a lot from you, your dedication is the most strange thing I ever saw in an athlete. I wish all the best for you and your family! I will miss our pre-game talks when you guessed the score correctly and calmed us ahead of the Finals with your experience and support! I’m proud of having played with you but not because you are the best player but because of the kind of person you are. When I retire I will sit in a bar to drink a beer and I will tell our stories and show our pictures. Yours sincerely, #M12.”
Ronaldo too wrote a long post while quitting the club. Thanking everyone at the club he wrote, “Real Madrid have captured my heart and those of my family members and for that reason, now more than ever, I want to say thank you: thanks to the club, the president, the club’s directors, my teammates, all of the coaching staff, the doctors, physios and the incredible staff who ensure that everything works as it should and tirelessly take care of every single detail.”
