Sir Alex Ferguson who had hospitalized due to a massive brain haemorrhage has reportedly returned home and is now being looked by his wife Cathy and rest of the family members. The 76-year-old had been in a critical condition and needed an urgent surgery. A source told the newspapers that the ex-boss of Manchester United is back on his feet.

“Everyone knows Sir Alex (Ferguson) is a winner and this was one battle he was never going to lose. He’s back on his feet and glad to be out of the hospital, though he couldn’t be more grateful to the staff," a source told The Sun. “The prognosis is extremely promising and it’ll only be a matter of time before he’s back at the ‘Theatre of Dreams’,” added the source further.

A few days ago, team Manchester United updated the fans about Sir Alex Ferguson’s health. “Sir Alex no longer needs intensive care and will continue rehabilitation as an inpatient. His family have been overwhelmed by the level of support and good wishes but continue to request privacy as this will be vital during this next stage of recovery,” read the caption of the picture.

Back then when the news of his surgery broke out, Manchester United issued a statement which read, “Sir Alex Ferguson has undergone emergency surgery for a brain hemorrhage. The procedure has gone very well but he needs a period of intensive care to optimize his recovery. His family request privacy in this matter.” The club later added, "We will keep Sir Alex and his loved ones in our thoughts during this time, and we are united in our wish to see him make a comfortable, speedy recovery."
