Manchester United goalkeeper, Sergio Romero, who has been on the outskirts of the team since the arrival of Dean Henderson in the summer is looking for a way out in January. The Argentine has finally returned back to training at the Premier League club after a long dispute over being snubbed in last season’s Europa League semi-final clash by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but is hoping to move on in January. Sergio Romero earns around £100,000-a-week at Manchester United and is unlikely to earn that at any other cub. However, the keeper wants regular game-time and is hoping that the Premier League side will be willing to terminate his remainder of the contract to allow him to leave. The Argentine is also open to giving up his pay off worth around £1.5million to secure the exit.
Sergio Romero’s contract with Manchester United ends next summer and the Argentine will be able to negotiate with other clubs and agree on a pre-contract with another team. The 33-year-old was linked with Everton in the summer but the move fell through as the two clubs weren’t able to reach an agreement on a transfer fee.
The 33-year-old has been on the outskirts of the Manchester United team and is highly unlikely that he will get a game anytime soon. Sergio Romero is fallen behind the likes of David de Gea, Dean Henderson and Lee Grant, who is yet to make his debut since signing over two years ago.
