Lionel Messi is arguably touted to be one of the greatest players of the current times. Undoubtedly he has a huge fan base from all the age groups including kids. Now, in a La Liga Documentary, Six Dreams, an original from Amazon unveiled a cute clip where Messi was seen playing with the son of Real Betis and Mexican national team midfielder Andres Guardado. The Mexican footballer was seen carrying his son Maximo and both await the arrival of Messi.
After a few seconds, the Barcelona striker comes out to greet them. Maximo who is busy talking to his father, turns around and excitedly says, “Messi,” and gave him a high-five. The kid’s joys knew no bounds and was clearly excited with the meeting. Messi then took him from Guardado’s arms and posed for a picture with the kid. Mexico could not stop grinning after getting a picture with Messi.
The super cute clip was shared by Andres Guardado’s wife with the caption, “Finally I can upload the moment when Maximo met Messi.” Check out the video below:
Messi was last seen in action during the 2018 FIFA World Cup for Argentina. The team crashed out of the pre-quarters after they lost to France by 4-3. After the match, Joerge Sampoli said, “I think that we adapted to necessity, rather than having a clear idea. We had a clear need and we had to win, that was our main goal. That was maybe stronger than our football concept. We have the best player in the world and we had to try to create collective situations to really use that player who can have many brilliant moments. We tried many different tactics, surround him, create space for him, so we tried to use everything we had to allow him to do what he can do. Sometimes we managed it, sometimes we didn’t. [The players] fought until the end and they nearly equalised at the end and that’s what I really, really value. They worked very hard and I want to say thank you."
