Talking about the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year Award 2019, Virgil van Dijk pipped Lionel Messi and CR7 to win the award.  The winners of the awards were selected by 55 coaches from various clubs. However, the catch was that they were not allowed to vote for the player from their club. The jury also comprised imminent journalists who have been in the business for years together.
