This will be the first appearance for McTominay, Pjanic and Gnabry in the PES cover, while Messi had appeared earlier also in PES cover. McTominay swept aside club Barcelona superstars, Philippe Coutinho and Luis Suarez, to make a sensational appearance on the cover of the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2020. PES made the announcement in a tweet on Tuesday. The tweet, which consists of a short video, also explains that PES 2020 will be available across three platforms – PlayStation 4, XBOX One and on personal computers (PC). The game will be officially released for all platforms in September later this year.

Players on PS4, Xbox One and PC will be able to play the game as team Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Palmeiras, Flamengo, Sao Paulo, Corinthians, Vasco da Gama, Boca Juniors, River Plate and Colo-Colo. All these teams including Barca, Juve and Bayern, have been named as official partner clubs of PES. United have agreed on a deal with Game developers Konami, which allows PES to recreate all of United’s players with a full-body 3D scanner and also restructure the stadium.
Meanwhile, rival brand EA Sports just last week announced that new Real Madrid signing Eden Hazard will be on its front cover for the latest edition of FIFA 20. While Hazard is set to appear on the cover of the standard edition, Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk will be on the franchises’ Champions League Special Edition.
