1. Most Pichichi Awards
Lionel Messi scored 25 league goals this season, making him the top scorer of La Liga for a record seventh time. 2. Most Assists in La Liga
The Argentine gave 22 assists Spain’s top-flight domestic league this campaign, thus overtaking former team-mate Xavi Hernandez for most assists provided in a single season in La Liga season. The Spanish player recorded 20 assists in 2008-09 campaign.

With 25 goals and 22 Assists in this La Liga season, Lionel Messi became the first player in La Liga history to reach the 20-figure mark in both goals and assists.
