Lauren Hemp, This English Footballer Uses Her Butt to Score a World Cup Goal! Watch Viral Video of the Most Bizarre Goal Ever
Lauren Hemp’s present club, Manchester City joined in the fun conversation as they wrote, “A peach of a finish that, Lauren".
England sealed quarter-finals place in the ongoing 2018 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup riding on hattrick heroine Lauren Hemp. The 17-year-old was absolute magic in England’s 6-1 victory over Mexico, but it was her backside goal that turned Lauren into a viral sensation on the social media. Dubbed as one of the most bizarre goals in football history, Lauren Hemp who plays for Manchester City scored the goal with her derrière after getting tackled by Mexican goalkeeper Emily Alvarado. The ‘butt-goal’ was definitely too much to handle to football fans who usually lose their calm seeing a free-kick or an impossible bicycle kick goal. Hemp scripted England’s stunning win over Mexico in the pre-quarters of 2018 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup despite not getting off to a favourable start. The Young Lionesses were trailing 1-0 till half-time before Lauren and Co. turned the match on its head. They scored as many as five goals in the space of 20 minutes. The reigning PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year netted the third and the fifth goal to book her side’s place in the last eight of the prestigious biennial international women's youth football championship held in France this year.
However, the highlight of the England-Mexico clash was when Lauren showed her dedication and hunger for the win at all coast. The young teen forward was going for the goal when she was tackled by the opponent’s goalie, leading to Hemp fall. But that did not have much effect on the English player nor her desired result. Lauren used her backside/butt/bum to send the ball flying into the net that left everyone shocked including her own English teammates.

While the majority of internet’s reaction was quite similar, calling Lauren’s goal a lucky fluke, she had something more to add to it. Responding to a FIFA.com writer’s tweet that read, “Has a stranger goal been scored? #U20WWC” along with Hemp’s viral goal video, the footballer replied, “Haters gonna say I didn’t mean it”. Lauren’s present club, Manchester City joined in the fun conversation as they wrote, “A peach of a finish that, Lauren! 😂”. No pun intended, right Man City.
