FC Goa put up a brilliant show against Odisha FC in the match 44 of the Hero Indian Super League 2019-20 and registered a 3-0 victory. With this triumph, Goa also went at the pinnacle of the points table with 18 points in nine matches. On the other hand, Odisha remained at the seventh spot with just nine points from as many games. Ferran Corominas brace and a Brandon Fernandes scored goals for Goa as cruised their side to a win. Goa dominated the major part of the match from the first half and never allowed the opposition to get on top. Earlier in the clash, Ferran Corominas struck the goal with the assistance of Hugo Boumous in the 19th minute of the match to give his side an upper hand in the clash. Odisha, on the other hand, didn’t look at their prime and failed to count on the opportunities they got. They also received two goals in the last five minutes of the match which didn’t help their cause either. Brandon Fernandes scored the second in the 85th minute before Corominas made an impeccable use of penalty to strike a goal in the 89th minute.

FC Goa have certainly got the momentum on their side in the ongoing tournament and they will seek to extend their winning run in the upcoming matches of the tournament. They will next tussle with Chennaiyin FC on December 26. On the other hand, Odisha will look to rectify their mistakes and put up an improved show against Jamshedpur FC on December 27.
