The state of Kerala is hit by a massive flood which claimed the lives of 400 people and has taken away the homes of many. The relief work is underway and the Indian Army is chipping playing a vital role in helping out people. Several personalities including Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Irfan and Yusuf Pathan have encouraged the citizens of India to do their bit and contribute to the relief work. In fact, Irfan and Yusuf Pathan even sent out essential commodities to the volunteers in Kerala for distribution. Now, Indian football star and Kerala Blasters’ CK Vineeth has gone one step ahead when it came to giving back to the state. The local boy was seen volunteering at one of the relief camps and doing his bit for the people.

Vineeth has always been the news for his down to earth attitude. Pictures of the football star went viral on social media and the netizens even hailed his gesture. Many said that India needs more people like him.

The Kerala Blasters were supposed to start with their camp earlier this month. But the floods delayed their campaign. However, the team is expected to change its base and begin with their practice sessions.

Many sportsmen include Sunil Chettri, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli urged the people to donate and contribute to the relief funds. In fact, Team India even donated 1.32 crore to the Kerala flood victims. Virat Kohli even dedicated Team India’s win at Nottingham to the flood victims of Kerala.
