The India vs Jordan football friendly in Amman will go ahead as planned after All India Football Federation (AIFF) confirmed the same. Earlier, there were reports that the football friendly might be cancelled after seven of the Indian football team members were left stranded in Kuwait due to the torrential downpour. The rains resulted in delayed flights and Jeje Lalpekhlua, Balwant Singh, Manvir Singh, Sumeet Passi, Udanta Singh, Halicharan Narzary, Ashique Kuruniyan and members of the support staff were left stranded at the Kuwait International Airport for over 32 hours.

After being able to reach Amman, the players further faced trouble as the luggage including player’s kits, equipment, and personal belongings went missing. So, this led to reports that the friendly match might be cancelled. Meanwhile, AIFF in a press release stated that the match will go ahead. Sunil Chhetri Injury Update: Bengaluru FC Captain Ruled Out of ISL 2018-19 for Two Weeks Due to Ankle Injury!
