Very tragic news revealed that a teenage footballer was fatally shot in the head when a brawl erupted halfway through a game of softball on Sunday 9th of June. the 18-year-old football star - Giancarlos Giameli Garcia del Cid went to the neighbourhood match as a spectator but became the victim of a violent brawl during the match. After a while, the brawl took a violent turn when one of the quarrellers pulled a gun and started shooting. Two bullets hit Giancarlos and with him, five other men were also injured. Ambulances reached the premises. Injured people were rushed to a hospital in Sabanitas for medical treatment, but as Giancarlos’ family says there weren’t enough ambulances to take the footballer. As per reports from Need to Know, suspects were arrested and a 21-year-old man has been remanded into custody. Giancarlos played as a centre-back for the top-flight team Arabe Unido in Colón. He even represented the Panama National under-17 Football team, in the World Cup in Indonesia.
