Arsenal earlier had two bids rejected by Celtic for the Scottish left-Back but both clubs seems to have finally reached a £25m agreement which will see Tierney travel to North London for his medical in the final hours of EPL transfer window and sign a five-year deal.
"I've said the last few days it wouldn't surprise me," Celtic boss Neil Lennon told BBC when asked on the possibility of losing Tierney on transfer deadline day. If he goes, he goes with everyone's best wishes. He's an outstanding talent and a great kid." Tierney sat out of Celtic’s 1-1 draw with Romanian club CER Cluj on Wednesday as the left-back is still recovering from the Hernia operation he underwent at the end of last season.
Meanwhile, the Arsenal boss had earlier stated that the club will try and sign another centre-back on deadline day. “If we can on the last day, we will try to sign another centre-back, but one who has the capacity to help us,” Emery had said after Arsenal conceded 51 goals last season and are set to play their third consecutive season in the Europa League.
