Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal might not have reached the quarterfinals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, but the team’s forward continues to inspire out cricketers KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. After winning the first T20 against England by 8 wickets in Manchester, it was KL Rahul who walked away with the limelight scoring a century. Along with the shots that he hit across the park, what caught our eyes were his celebrations with Virat Kohli after getting a 100. After the match, Dinesh Karthik interviewed KL Rahul and asked him his celebrations style where the stylish right-hander revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo is an inspiration behind the celebration with Kohli.
Rahul said, "By the end of the England series, I want to have a different handshake with all the members in the team right now. I have one with Hardik (Pandya). With Virat, you saw it." Karthik further quizzed if the act was taken out from (Cristiano) Ronaldo, to which Rahul replied, "Yea, sort of. You know Virat's a huge Ronaldo fan". The official Twitter handle of the BCCI shared the fun interview with the caption, “DON'T MISS: From his match-winning century, him going through tough times to coming up with new celebration styles, @klrahul11 speaks to @DineshKarthik post #TeamIndia's comprehensive 1st T20I win against England - by @RajalArora Full Video Link---->.”

Talking about Ronaldo’s team Portugal lost against Uruguay earlier this weekend by 2-1. It was Edinson Cavani who scored a couple of goals against the team. Ronaldo might have lost the game and ended his stint at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, but his gesture of walking off Cavani from the ground invited a thunderous applause from the stands. The Real Madrid players surely knows how to win hearts and inspire people!
