Douglas Costa Spits at Federico Di Francesco During Juventus vs Sassuolo Match; Coach Massimiliano Allegri Says, He Will be Fined (Watch Video)

Yesterday Cristiano Ronaldo was in the news for scoring his first goals for Juventus against Sassuolo. As a result, Juventus won 2-1 against Sassuolo and lead the Serie A table with 12 points. Along with CR7, his teammate Douglas Costa also grabbed headlines; not for his goals but for his on-field behaviour. Costa spat at Sassuolo's Federico Di Francesco during the Serie A match on Sunday. The misbehaviour did not end here. He even went on elbow Francesco and head-butted the Brazilian. Costa was then handed a red card. Costa’s gestures drew massive criticism not only on social media. Massimiliano Allegri, the coach also slammed him for the behaviour while addressing the press after the team won. Check out the video below:

Allegri during the press conference said that episodes like these should be avoided and he was surprised by Costa’s actions. “It's only right that he (Costa) is fined, and he certainly will be... I was surprised by his reaction. We have suffered a goal, a red card and a suspension which will be long,” he said to the press.
