Star Arsenal footballer Mesut Ozil on Wednesday wished his Indian fans on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. The festival of lights, Deepavali or Diwali is being celebrated in India today, November 07. The Arsenal midfielder took to Twitter and in a short video wished fans Happy Diwali. Apart from it, Ozil wrote, “Happy Diwali to all my Indian friends and followers! Meri taraf se Diwali ki hardik shubh kamanaye! Same video was shared by Arsenal Football Club’s official Twitter handle, which wrote, “If you're celebrating Diwali today, then we've got a special message for you... #HappyDiwali from @MesutOzil1088 and everyone at the club.”

Apart from Arsenal, European football clubs Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur also wished the fans in India on the occasion of Diwali.
