The Dutchman now hinted at a potential exit for the star forward with his response when asked if Ronaldo played his last match for the club. Ten Hag, as quoted by Goal.com, said, "I can't say that. We plan with him. We stick to the plan, we want him to stay. That is what I want." Ronaldo has, for long been linked with a move outside Old Trafford with the forward reportedly eager on playing the Champions League. He also missed the whole of Manchester United's pre-season before returning to the team for their last friendly match before the season started.
In both of Manchester United's last two matches, Ronaldo came off the bench. But he still remains goalless this season as speculations continue over his future. Manchester United have always maintained the stance that he is not for sale but Jorge Mendes, the player's agent has been looking up for offers from other clubs.
