Cristiano Ronaldo is signed by Juventus, a premier football club in France, as per the latest media reports. Speculations were doing the rounds already, and it seems that the star Real Madrid forward is set to make his move to Juventus football club soon. It is believed that both the football clubs, Real Madrid and Juventus, have reached an agreement on the same.

The 33-year-old Portuguese player is all set to end his 9-year-reign at Real Madrid with the move. Cristiano Ronaldo has won 4 Champions League titles during his a decade-long stay at St. Bernabeu; however, his temperamental relationship with club President Florentino Perez is believed to be the reason for Juventus’ transfer.

Ronaldo, who has won the Ballon d'Or award for a record five number of times – 2008, 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2017 – joined Real Madrid in the year 2009. The transfer from Manchester United had then cost Real Madrid a whopping Euro 80 million.

There were reports, last year too, that Cristiano Ronaldo was set to mark his return to Manchester United, or is looking to make a move to some another club. However, the speculations ended in the bin, as Ronaldo took Real Madrid to another Champions League title, the previous year.

Despite winning the Champions League title, Real Madrid had a horrid performance in the Spanish football league – La Liga, as they ended 17 points behind the table-toppers and arch-rivals FC Barcelona.

For Juventus, it will be their record signing, as it will go past what the club paid for Gonzalo Higuain. The deal was earlier rumoured to be nearing Euro 105 million (approximately Rs 955 crores), which will be way more than what Higuain was signed for, i.e. Euro 75.3 million. The deal with Ronaldo is said to be for four years.

Also, Neymar Jr who made a surprise move to Paris St. Germain last year is speculated to make a move to Real Madrid. However, with all said and done, Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Juventus is sad news for Spanish fans!
