Since 2018 Cristiano Ronaldo has been in the news for various reasons. One was for his transfer to Juventus and then came the news of his rape case. A model named Kathryn Mayorga accused the former Real Madrid player of raping her in a hotel at Las Vegas. However, there are no charges taken against the footballer and could not be proven reasonably. Now, American footballer Alex Morgan has come out in open and spoken about the case to a magazine Sports Illustrated and said that there is too much of evidence to cover up and money helps put stories down. Morgan who is also nominated for the Best FIFA Football Awards 2019 along with the Juventus star said that she does not anticipate any differently that she would approach anyone else she meets. “I do think that a lot of times in today’s climate women have spoken up, and it’s important to support those women. And I think a lot of people right now are questioning who is right and who is wrong," she said to Sports Illustrated.
"When you look at [Ronaldo’s] story in particular, I think there’s too much evidence to cover up, and I think at the end of the day money helps put stories down,” she further added. She also went on to reveal that the criminal charges against the star footballer were dropped only because he could continue playing. The two will come across each other on September 23rd, 2019 and it would be interesting to see what happens when they meet. CR7 is yet to react to this statement and all his fans are awaiting hos comment on the same.
